متن کاملResistive transitions in regular superconducting wire networks
2014 The resistive transition of a two dimensional infinite regular grid of superconducting wires is considered. Previous linearized Landau-Ginzburg theories of this transition are shown to be inadequate in determining the true phase boundary due to the effects of vortex fluctuations. The relation of the non linear model to a constant amplitude approximation is discussed and rich structure, ide...
متن کاملHysteretic nonequilibrium Ising-Bloch transition.
We show that a parametrically driven cubic-quintic complex Ginzburg-Landau equation exhibits a hysteretic nonequilibrium Ising-Bloch transition for large enough quintic nonlinearity. These results help to understand the recent experimental observation of this phenomenon [A. Esteban-Martín, Phys. Rev. Lett. 94, 223903 (2005)].
متن کاملResistive phase transition of the superconducting Si(111)-(7×3)-In surface
: Recently, superconductivity was found on semiconductor surface reconstructions induced by metal adatoms, promising a new field of research where superconductors can be studied from the atomic level. Here we measure the electron transport properties of the Si(111)-(7×3)-In surface near the resistive phase transition and analyze the data in terms of theories of two-dimensional (2D) superconduct...
متن کاملResistive Hom Load for Superconducting Cavities*
Ferrites and lossy ceramics, used in HOM (higher order mode) loads for superconducting accelerators, have shortcomings such as poor batch-to-batch reproducibility of electromagnetic properties, extremely low electric conductivity at cryogenic temperatures leading to accumulation of charge on the material surface, brittleness, which may cause contamination of the nearby SRF cavities by lossy dus...
